Cloud-optimized mirrors of various public data sets prepared by CDFW
public-cdfwCloud-native mirrors of California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) conservation and biodiversity data products, published from the CDFW BIOS portal. Datasets are provided as GeoParquet + PMTiles + H3-indexed parquet.

ds2739)A statewide ~2.5 mi² hexagon grid (63,890 hexagons) summarizing terrestrial biodiversity value: composite biological-value, rare-richness, native-richness, and Rarity-Weighted-Index ranks/scores (statewide- and ecoregion-normalized) plus per-taxon richness counts (native / rare / endemic for amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, plants).

The PMTiles source-layer is terrestrial-biodiversity-summary (the last segment of
the dataset path — not the BIOS layer name).
One hex row = one (ACE-hexagon, H3-cell) pair. Every attribute is a per-hexagon
value repeated on each of the ~9 resolution-8 cells a hexagon covers.
Native H3 resolution 8; parent resolution 0 (the partition key). The geometry column is present only on the GeoParquet asset, not on the hex parquet.
