Beeldmateriaal Nederland

The Dutch national partnership for aerial photography, established in 2011. Beeldmateriaal Nederland brings together municipalities, provinces, water boards (waterschappen), Rijkswaterstaat, and Het Kadaster to jointly commission and share nationwide aerial surveys — reducing costs while ensuring uniform quality across the entire country.

Two campaigns fly each year:

Summer (May–Sep): 25 cm RGB orthophotos with full foliage
Winter/Spring (Feb–Apr): 7.5 cm high-resolution stereoscopic + Color InfraRed (CIR) imagery during the leafless season

All imagery is published as open data under CC BY 4.0. The partnership also coordinates the AHN (Actueel Hoogtebestand Nederland) nationwide LiDAR elevation programme. Since 2023, coverage extends to the Caribbean Netherlands (Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, Saba).

Headquartered in Amersfoort. Coordinated under the Geo-Informatieberaad (GI-beraad).
