A collection of datasets from various Dutch institutions to demonstrate a Spatial Data Infrastructure built on Portolan.
The definitive Dutch demographic geodataset. Published annually by CBS (Statistics Netherlands), this dataset provides demographic, socioeconomic, and geographic statistics at three nested administrative levels: buurten (14,823 neighborhoods), wijken (3,423 districts), and gemeenten (424 municipalities). Contains ~42 columns covering population, age distribution, household composition, marital status, migration background, urbanity, and land/water area. Statistics reflect the situation as of 1 January 2025. All three layers share the same column schema and form a strict spatial hierarchy: each buurt belongs to exactly one wijk, each wijk to one gemeente. The sentinel value -99997 means data is not available or privacy-suppressed.
