30 m global map distinguishing natural forest, planted forest, and non-forest, from Xiao Yuelong (2024), "Global Natural and Planted Forests Mapping at Fine Spatial Resolution of 30m." This is a mirror of the Zenodo release, republished as cloud-optimized GeoTIFF tiles with a geoparquet STAC index and a virtualizarr/icechunk store for cloud-native access. Modifications are flagged in the repository README.
This is a derived republication of Global Natural and Planted Forests Mapping at Fine Spatial Resolution of 30 m (Xiao Yuelong, 2024). The source encodes the class as an RGB colour. We have converted it to a single-band class map with a lossless rule and re-encoded the original tiles as COGs (Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs). We have also added a STAC index and a materialised icechunk cube.
