This publication is a mirror of the JRC (European Commission Joint Research Centre) global map of forest cover 2020, version 3. It is one global Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF that categorizes land into either forest or non-forest land at 10 meter resolution. We mirror from the JEODPP FTP server to a modern object storage solution.

The map follows the FAO forest definition. The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) uses this definition too. Note that the JRC publishes this forest cover baseline alongside the TMF and GFT2020 products.
