This publication is a byte-for-byte mirror of the JRC Global Surface Water Monthly History tiles for 2017 to 2021. The dataset describes surface water cover at 30 m resolution. We added a STAC index for this dataset. We mirror from the JEODPP FTP server to a modern object storage solution.
This republication does not include the full 1984 to present history, but if you're interested in a full republication, contact jake@epoch.blue.

Nothing. We mirror the tiles unchanged. The source files are tiled GeoTIFFs with 256 × 256 blocks and no overviews. JEODPP gives no MD5 hash. We verify integrity by a full TIFF header re-parse of each tile.
y_off and x_off are the pixel offsets of the zone in the global grid, zero-padded to 10 digits.
Example of an anonymous read through the source.coop proxy. Find tiles for an area and a month with the STAC index:
mask_and_scale=False. Without this setting a default read decodes 0 to NaN.
