Observational datasets collected for ISMIP7 Antarctic experiments: bed and surface topography, drainage basins, ocean climatologies, and ice-front and calving observations. Provided as a convenience for ice-sheet modellers rather than as part of the ISMIP7 protocol. Each dataset is third-party, with its own citation and licence — see the per-dataset attribution in the product README. The ISMIP7 protocol refers to this collection as the Observational MIPkit.
Annual climatology (1972–2024) of practical salinity (so/), thermal forcing (tf/)
and potential temperature (thetao/) from the OCEAN ICE Southern Ocean Climatology of
Zhou et al., regridded to the ISMIP7 8 km / 60 m grid and extrapolated under the ice
shelves by the ISMIP7 AIS ocean focus group. This is the climatology the ISMIP7 AIS
ocean forcing is bias-corrected to (reference period 1995–2024).
