This dataset contains potential above-ground carbon emissions (g/m2) from wildfire combustion. It's primary purpose is for fire mangers to use this map to identify areas with high carbon vulnerability to wildfires for protection as a climate solution strategy to mitigate potential carbon losses. This dataset was created using a ML model trained on field observations in boreal and arctic Canada and Alaska, spatial features such as annual land-cover, tree canopy cover, above-ground biomass, and CMIP6 projected climate variables from SSP-585.
