portolan-pipeline
Cloud-native mirror Collections of National Agriculture Imagery Program scenes, modelled as per-scene STAC Items whose Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs stay on the host that publishes them.
Every Collection here describes imagery it does not host. The scene bytes stay with the organization that publishes them and are referenced by URL, while this catalog publishes the metadata, one STAC Item per scene, and a stac-geoparquet item mirror so a client can read every footprint in one request.
That is the difference from the portolan-reference catalog beside it,
where every Collection serves its own bytes. Most public imagery arrives
in this shape, far too large to copy, so Portolan has to describe it
without holding it. This catalog is the worked example of doing that.
Agents, each Collection carries its own AGENTS.md with the band order, the read pattern, and the reason no scene carries a checksum.
Licenses, other. Provenance, 1 mirror Collection.
