Annual global 100 m gridded maps of terrestrial Biodiversity Intactness, extended to 2017–2025.
This is an update of the Biodiversity Intactness product by Impact Observatory and Vizzuality, originally covering 2017-2020 (Gassert, Mazzarello & Hyde 2022). This release re-runs it on updated input datasets refreshing and extending the timeseries to 2017-2025.

This v1.1 Biodiversity Intactness release updates an earlier 2017–2020 dataset (Planetary Computer dataset, technical whitepaper) produced by Impact Observatory and Vizzuality.
Methodology: Technical White Paper
Following Newbold et al. (2016) and Hill et al. (2018), Biodiversity Intactness is estimated as two mixed-effects predictors modeling the relationship between site-level Abundance and Compositional Similarity from the PREDICTS database (Hudson et al. 2016) against global spatial proxies for human pressure. Model coefficients are unchanged from the original version. v1.1 results closely match values for the original timeseries with minor differences due to updated source data.
Data are provided as annual 0.00090 deg (~100m) maps for 2017-2025 as cloud optimized GeoTIFFs. Values are reported as 0-1 with 1 being the most intact and 0 being the most degraded.
