Dekadal precipitation forecast from Climate Hazards Center's CHIRPS-GEFS (CHIRPS3-bias-corrected NCEP GEFSv12), global 60N-60S at ~5km, 2001-present, as cloud-optimized GeoTIFF.
Dekadal (10-day) precipitation forecast built from NCEP's Global Ensemble Forecast System version 12 (GEFSv12), bias-corrected and downscaled to CHIRPS3's spatial resolution and climatology. The correction uses quantile matching: each forecast's cumulative rainfall total is ranked against the distribution of GEFS forecasts for that same period since 2001, and remapped onto the equivalent CHIRPS3 quantile — preserving GEFS's forecast skill while removing its systematic bias relative to CHIRPS3.
