Daily gridded rainfall from the Climate Hazards Center's CHIRPS v3 (RNL variant, disaggregated with ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis), 1981-present, 60N-60S, 0.05° resolution, as cloud-optimized GeoTIFFs.
The Climate Hazards Center Infrared Precipitation with Stations (CHIRPS v3) is a 40+ year, high-resolution quasi-global rainfall dataset. It spans 60°N to 60°S and covers all longitudes, providing data from 1981 to near-present. CHIRPS v3 combines satellite-based thermal infrared rainfall estimates with in-situ station observations to produce a 0.05° gridded rainfall time series over land.
The RNL version uses daily precipitation from the ECMWF ERA Reanalysis v5 (ERA5) data product to partition pentadal CHIRPS-v3 precipitation totals into daily amounts. For more information see the CHIRPS v3 dataset page and the CHIRPS v3 daily readme.

of every Item in this collection — one row per day, with geometry and the asset href — and is the
discovery index for this repository. Each daily COG carries a single band asset (float32
precipitation in mm, nodata -9999).
