Preliminary daily gridded rainfall from the Climate Hazards Center's CHIRPS v3 (SAT variant, disaggregated with NASA IMERG), updated ahead of the station-corrected final release, 60N-60S, 0.05°, as cloud-optimized GeoTIFF.
Preliminary daily rainfall estimates from the Climate Hazards Center Infrared Precipitation
with Stations (CHIRPS v3 SAT), released ahead of the station-corrected final product. The SAT
version uses daily precipitation from the NASA IMERG Late V07 data product to partition pentadal
CHIRPS-v3 precipitation totals into daily amounts. Prelim values are updated as new satellite
passes arrive and are superseded by the chirps_sat_daily
data product once final station data is incorporated. See that data product for full methodology and citation.
See also the CHIRPS v3 dataset page and source readme for methodology and caveats.
