16-day NDVI from NASA LP DAAC's VIIRS/JPSS1 Vegetation Indices 16-Day L3 Global 1km SIN Grid V002 (VJ113A2, NOAA-20), 2018-present, global land, 1 km sinusoidal tiles, as Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs.
16-day Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from the VIIRS sensor on NOAA-20 (JPSS-1), at 1 km resolution on the global sinusoidal grid. Each composite selects the best available observation per pixel over the 16-day period. The product continues the MODIS vegetation index record. Only the NDVI layer of the NASA LP DAAC VJ113A2 version 2 product is stored here, without further processing.
See also the NASA Earthdata dataset page and the VNP13 User Guide and ATBD for methodology and caveats.

Storage for this dataset is generously provided by Source Cooperative, a Radiant Earth project.
All tiles of a composite share one folder; the tile is part of the filename, e.g.
VJ113A2.A2018001.h20v08.002.2022352115611_VIM.tif (composite start A<year><day-of-year>, tile
h20v08).
Browse or download with the AWS CLI:
NDVI is stored as scaled integers: multiply by 0.0001 and mask -15000 to get values in [-1, 1].
Tiles are mosaicked on load, in the native sinusoidal CRS unless you pass crs= and resolution=.
CC0-1.0. NASA data are free of use restrictions; LP DAAC asks that the dataset be cited (see the citation above) in publications using it.
This dataset was prepared and published through the WFP Humanitarian Data Cube (HDC).
It is also served live from the HDC STAC API:
vj113a2_native.
