Data for calibrating sub-ice-shelf melt parameterisations for ISMIP7 Antarctic experiments: ocean model output, hydrographic observations, observational estimates of melt rates, buttressing flux response numbers, drainage basins and ice-shelf masks, and the meltMIP intercomparison inputs. Third-party model output and observations from several groups, each with its own citation and licence — see the per-dataset attribution in the product README.
Temperature (_T), salinity (_S), thermal forcing (_TF) and basal melt rate (_m)
from regional and circum-Antarctic ocean models, for a "cold" and a "warm" cavity
state, regridded to the ISMIP7 8 km / 60 m grid by the ISMIP7 AIS ocean focus group.
melt_cold_target_term3_v2.nc and melt_warm_target_term3_v2.nc are the calibration
targets derived from them.
The variable names follow the ISMIP7 CMIP forcing datasets (updated 31 July 2026).
