FTW Benchmark Data (2.0-alpha)

Sponsored by Taylor Geospatial, the Global Fields of The World (FTW) dataset provides global-scale estimates of agricultural fields for 2024–2025. The dataset includes both model inputs (Sentinel-2–derived median composites in COG and Zarr v3 formats) and outputs (in Zarr, GeoParquet and PMTiles).

Global Fields of The World (FTW) 2nd Edition
The Global Fields of The World - 2nd Edition release provides updated global-scale estimates of agricultural fields for 2017-2025. The dataset is run on the Sentinel-2 Level 3 Quarterly Cloudless Mosaics from CDSE rehosted by Taylor Geospatial on Source Cooperative here. The data product contains raw prediction COGs, vectorized GeoParquet, and PMTiles for visualization.

Harmonized Field Boundaries
A large collection of relevant open field boundaries, published by governments and other public bodies. The data comes mostly from the farm subsidy registers of EU member states (CAP/IACS) and can span multiple seasons. Some collections were digitized by hand or are generated from earth observation images. The published data is harmonized to the fiboa schema as cloud-native GeoParquet and PMTiles.
