Post-fire and pre-fire Planet imagery of the Gironde/Landes Atlantic wildfire complex near Bordeaux, southwestern France — the Le Porge → Arès run of the July 2026 fires.
The fire ignited around 23 July 2026, burned an estimated ~34,000–45,000 ha of Landes pine forest and coastal dune habitat around the Arcachon Basin, forced roughly 250,000 evacuations, and triggered activation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. It was reported contained in the days that followed.
This is a self-contained STAC / Portolan catalog: each STAC Item links its Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs by relative path, so the metadata and imagery travel together.
Collections are split pre-event (before 23 July 2026) and post-event (on/after), and grouped by acquisition date.
Cloud cover: post-event scenes are largely clear (90–100%); two of the 8 July baseline PlanetScope scenes are partly cloudy (~40% and ~64% clear).
